WORKED EXAMPLE

Solution

To find a part of a number, the number is multiplied by this fraction: 32⋅38=32⋅38=1232\cdot\frac{3}{8}=\frac{32\cdot3}{8}=12. That is, first we find one part using 32:8=432:8=4, and then by doing 4⋅3=124\cdot3=12 we take three parts.
