  1. A54455445
  2. B54535453
  3. C55635563
  4. D72637263
  5. E54635463

WORKED EXAMPLE

Solution

To form the greatest number, the digits are written in descending order: 75207520. The least number cannot start with zero, so the smallest nonzero digit 22 is placed first, and then 0,5,70, 5, 7 is written: this gives 20572057. The difference: 7520−2057=54637520 - 2057 = 5463.
